Now why
would a serious professional be this silly? The answer to that question is
important in a business which deals every day with clients that have
financial problems. Life is far to short to loose your sense of
humor. Life is for living, laughing, and loving. You can quote
me on that. Here is one of my all time favorite poems:
To
laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To
cry is to risk appearing sentimental.
To
reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To
expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To
place your ideas, your dreams before a crowd
is
to risk losing them.
To
love is to risk not being loved in return.
To
live is to risk dying.
To
hope is to risk despair.
To
try is to risk failure.
But
risks must be taken, because the greatest failure
in
life is to risk nothing.
The
person who risks nothing, has nothing
and
is nothing.
They
may avoid suffering and pain, but they cannot learn,
feel,
change, grow, love, live.
Chained
by their servitude, they are slaves,
they
have forfeited their freedom.
Only
a person who risks is free.
